A section of the close coterie of KCR is now extremely jittery. They are now spending sleepless nights not knowing when the axe will fall on them. This close circle of CM’s confidants have been operating as the eyes and ears of CM KCR in Pragathi Bhavan. In fact, these people virtually run the Pragathi Bhavan. Now that CM’s PRO Vijayakumar has been sent packing, the other seven are worried when their turn will come.

KCR was alarmed at the leakage of information from Pragathi Bhavan. While top secret files found their way to the Opposition and the Central sleuths, KCR’s own investigations showed that even minor details like where is CM going, who is meeting the CM and who is accompanying KCR to the farm house were being leaked. Probe has also showed that some CMO officials were being paid several lakhs of rupees every month by two media houses for these tip-offs. The probe revealed that an MLC who stays perpetually in the Pragathi Bhavan, an IPS officer and six other officials are involved in this information leakages.

In fact, this gang of eight has secured membership in the elite clubs of the city and has been using their connections to fix deals and rake in moolah. They were involved in several financial scams. The CM is said to have got all the relevant information about these persons. Action on Vijayakumar is only the beginning and more heads could roll, say those in the know.
