The shocking example of how people can get sneaky to make a profit has been witnessed at Vizag and the incident left even the police speechless. A 27-year-old B.Tech dropout, named Vishnu Murthy, was arrested in Vizag along with three other culprits for cheating and deceiving two TDP MLAs. They have allegedly taken a lump sum of Rs 35 lakhs from MLAs by saying that they are the personal assistants to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and the TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu.

The other three men who accompanied Vishnu Murthy are Tarun, Jaya Krishna and Jagadeesh. All these four have preplanned the whole cheating process carefully and made spoof calls to nearly 15 political leaders. They have managed to collect Rs.5 lakh from ex MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy and Rs.10 lakh from Palasa MLA Appala Raju.

The Vizag Police Commissioner Mahesh Chandra Laddha expressed his shock over the case and said that such a case was never seen before. Vishnu, one of the accused, is passionate about hacking. He used spoofing app to cheat the political leaders so that the receiver on the other end will only see the CM’s contact number on the screen instead of Vishnu’s. Moreover, the MLAs also believed him entirely and gave everything he asked for.

However, Vizag MP MVV Satyanarayana had suspected the phone calls and spied them by sending some cash with his people. Later, the police seized 28.22 grams of gold, 19.2 grams of silver, Rs 5.8 lakh cash and five cellphones from these four men.
