Media has been speculating that Anushka – Madhavan starrer Nissabdham will be releasing directly on OTT platforms from April.

Although Anushka was not in favor of direct-to-digital release at the beginning, she has reportedly told her producers to do whatever is the best for them.

If the buzz is to be believed, Amazon Prime is the prime contender to bag Nissabdham rights.

Talks are on and it will be lined up for release in August if they come to an agreement that satisfies all parties involved.

Amazon Prime has been demanding producers to promote digital releases on par with theatrical releases like conducting events and giving interviews.

Anushka and Team Nissabdham have agreed to promote the movie a couple of weeks prior to its release date.
