Jr. NTR’s highly anticipated film, Devara, has finally hit the theatres with roaring success, marking its release as one of the biggest openings in recent times. The Day 1 numbers for Devara are truly staggering, particularly in the Nizam region, which contributed a whopping 19.32 crores alone. Other key regions also saw impressive figures, with Vizag pulling in 5.47 crores, Guntur 6.27 crores, and Nellore adding 2.11 crores. The Krishna region added 3.02 crores to the total, while the East and West regions contributed 4.02 crores and 3.60 crores, respectively. Ceded, one of the major territories, raked in a massive 10.40 crores.

In total, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana share for Day 1 of Devara stands at an astounding 54.21 crores, without including GST. The complaint, lodged on September 3, alleges that Zafar misappropriated subsidy funds amounting to ₹9.50 crore from the Abu Dhabi authorities during the production of their film, *Bade Miyan Chote Miyan*. The Bandra Police in Mumbai is expected to summon Zafar for questioning as the investigation unfolds.

The Bhagnanis’ complaint outlines serious allegations against Zafar, including fraud, coercion, criminal breach of trust, extortion, blackmailing, criminal intimidation, harassment, criminal defamation, and money laundering. They claim that Zafar utilized these funds through a shell company based in Abu Dhabi, raising concerns about financial misconduct within the film’s production process. In a twist to the unfolding drama, Ali Abbas Zafar has countered with his own accusations against the Bhagnanis. The Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) has also stepped in, requesting an explanation from Vashu Bhagnani regarding the alleged unpaid dues.
