Noted film critic Kathi Mahesh, who has been undergoing treatment at the Chennai branch of the Apollo Hospitals since last week has breathed his last today. He lost his life after his health deteriorated.Doctors, who treated Kathi Mahesh had confirmed the news that he lost his life on July 10, today in the hospital as his health condition didn’t support him.

Kath Mahesh, who hits the headlines often by making controversial comments against Hinduism and Hindu deities met with a deadly accident earlier on June 26 near the Gudur region of Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district.He sustained severe injuries after his car met with an accident. His driver said that he didn’t wear a seat belt when the mashup took place and due to this he developed injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital and then shifted to Chennai Apollo.

The Andhra Pradesh government came to his rescue and allotted Rs 17 lakh to his treatment. An order stating the same was issued by a special officer to the Chief Minister was issued. The letter to Apollo hospital said the amount will be settled once he is discharged from the facility.
