It has been widely reported that the officials told the Chief Minister that the delay in the vaccination process and drop in vaccination numbers is because the officials getting busy with the election process.
The officials gave the reason that no delay in the vaccination process would have taken place if the ZPTC and MPTC election process are followed by civic body polls without any delay.
After the officials told him that the election process was the reason behind the delay in the vaccine drive, CM Jagan directed the officials to see that the remaining process pertaining to the elections is completed soon, so that the vaccine drive can be continued.
Citing the pandemic spread, CM, Jagan is said to have directed the concerned officials to report to Governor and High Court officially to speed -up the election process considering public health.
CM Jagan had also directed the concerned officials to ramp up the vaccination process to contain the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. For this, the Covid-19 testing should be increased, Jagan said.
“Making Village Secretariat the central unit, the officials should intensify the vaccination drive by making vaccine doses available to people that fall under the respective Village Secretariats. We should reach our target,” CM Jagan said.
