A delegation of bigwigs from the Tollywood Film Industry met Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday to discuss the issues faced by the industry and the rumpus surrounding the reduction of the ticket fares in the state. During the meeting, the Cabinet Minister cleared the air of their doubts.

The Tollywood bigwigs gave their presentation on their concerns. As a response to their concerns, the Minister assured them that the ticket fares will not be reduced and they don’t have to worry about that. Other issues concerning the industry were also discussed during the meeting.

Talasani Srinivas Yadav held a press meeting and gave details on what are the issues that were discussed in the meeting. Listing out the issues faced by the industry due to the pandemic, the Minister said, false information on reducing the ticket fares and shutting down the theatres were being circulated and appalled everyone to not believe such news.

The Minister said that the industry went through a rough period with the pandemic and when everything seemed good, we are hearing news about Omicron. People can watch films in the theatres. All the required measures to deal with the situation were taken, he said.

Earlier today, a team of bigwigs including Dil Raju, DVV Danayya, SS Rajamouli met the Minister in the wake of the possible threat of the Omicron variant. As they were assured that the government will look into their concerns and requests, the delegation is said to have got a major sigh of relief.
