In what it could be a shocker to the ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh the Election Commission holds the government’s decision to distribute house plots for 25 lakh poor people in the state on the eve of Ugadi festival.

State election commissioner Ramesh Kumar said that the program which was announced by the government cannot be held until the local body elections get finished.

The Election code came into accordance on March 7th with the Elections for the Local Body polls. The code states that no programs or events should be held in the state at the time of election code which can influence the voters.

With this, the government has to announce a new date to distribute the house plots for the poor people which is regarded as the groundbreaking decision in state politics.
