It is known that the Covid-19 spread reached level-2 in Telangana with 40 odd Covid-19 positive cases being reported. The state government is so determined and they don’t want to take any chances by letting this deadly virus enter stage-3.

So, the state Health Minster Eetela Rajender conducted a review meeting with the medical staff and the higher officials and took a very crucial decision to control the Corona Pandemic. Rajender ordered the health care officials to convert entire Gandhi Hospital to ‘Corona Hospital’ until the situation comes under control.

The minister made it clear for the primary health care officials, Aasha workers, staff nurses and doctors that no leaves will be given to them and also informed them that the government declared 50lakh rupees health insurance to each one of them. Already the Out-Patient (O.P) services have been stopped in Gandhi hospital and the patients who are waiting for surgeries have been transferred Usmania hospital.

Along with Gandhi Hospital, The fever and Chest Hospital is Nallakuntla is also available for the people with Covid-19. In both these hospitals, 6 labs were given for the Covid-19 diagnosis tests which can do confirmatory tests for 100 people per day. Now, this number has increased and daily 700 suspects will be tested with Nucleic acid tests to determine the status of Covid-19.
