‘Kalki 2898AD’ Team Stuck In A Huge Dilemma!

There is a lot of talk going on regarding the release date of Prabhas’ magnum opus sci-fi action drama ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Following the ‘Jagadekaveerudu Athiloka Sundari’ sentiment, they announced that the release date would be 9th May. But the delay in post-production as well as the elections in Telugu states has forced the makers to postpone the release.

The makers are now stressed about finalising a new release date. They are looking at two options which are 30th May and 20th June. There are even thoughts of the movie going to July as well. The situation is not favourable in June as Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s ‘Indian 2’ is planning for a June 13 release. Shankar is busy with his daughter’s marriage but he will announce the date officially once he returns.

As Kamal is playing a special role in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, the team will not be looking to compete with the legendary actor’s much-awaited film. Also, ‘Indian 2’ blocked this date before which means that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ cannot occupy the date now. Things will be more difficult in July as the summer holidays will be over and youth will be busy returning to schools and colleges.

Also, a movie of such a big magnitude needs ticket hikes and it is going to be a huge problem in AP. If TDP and Janasena form the government, it is smooth sailing for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ team but things won’t work out in the same way if Jagan comes to power once again. He is not keen on increasing the ticket rates and it is well known that producer Ashwini Dutt is a supporter of TDP. Keeping all of this in mind, we need to see how things turn out for this gigantic film directed by Nag Ashwin.

Manchu Family Gives A Grand Welcome To Akshay!

Ever since Manchu Vishnu announced ‘Kannappa’, it became the talk of tinsel town. Vishnu is making sure that the buzz on the movie is maintained at all times through constant updates. More than the content that many know, it is the huge star cast that is building a lot of hype on this action adventure. As it is announced, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is doing a special cameo in this project.

He arrived on the sets of ‘Kannappa’ and he was welcomed grandly by Manchu Mohan Babu and his son Manchu Vishnu. He was felicitated with a garland and a shawl upon his arrival and we can see him having a candid conversation with the veteran actor and Vishnu. The ‘Dhee’ hero took to social media and posted a video of Bollywood Khiladi’s entry on sets.

He wrote, “The #kannappa journey just got more thrilling as we welcome the Superstar Mr. Akshay Kumar to the Telugu Film Industry. Thrilled to announce his debut in Telugu cinema with Kannappa. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!” Many say that Akshay Kumar will be seen doing to the role of Lord Shiva in this movie.

Mukesh Singh who made ‘Mahabharat’ is directing this film. Prabhas is also doing a cameo while big names from other industries like Mohanlal, Sharath Kumar, Mohan Babu and others are also a part of this movie. Manchu Mohan Babu is bankrolling this film under ‘Ava Entertainments’ and ’24 Frames Factory’ banners.

Thota Prasad and Sai Madhav Burra are the writers. Stephen Devasi and Mani Sharma are the music composers for this pan-Indian flick. There is a lot of Anushka Shetty doing Parvati’s role but the official news is yet to come out.
