Superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film “Vettaiyan,” directed by T.J. Gnanavel, has created a buzz among fans. While the film’s theatrical release was earlier announced for October 10th, 2024, Rajnikanth’s recent statement has cast doubt on this date.

In a public address, Rajnikanth revealed that the dubbing process for “Vettaiyan” is ongoing, while filming for his next project, “Coolie” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has just begun. Notably, Rajnikanth did not confirm the release date for “Vettaiyan,” leaving fans in a state of suspense.

“Vettaiyan” boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rao Ramesh, Rohini Molleti, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. The film is produced by Lyca Productions with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Meanwhile, filming for Rajinikanth’s next venture, “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has commenced. Sun Pictures is producing the film, with Anirudh Ravichander returning as the music composer. This project also features Rana Daggubati in a pivotal role.

With the release date for “Vettaiyan” yet to be officially confirmed, fans eagerly await further updates from the makers.

A Clash of Titans: Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh’s Cinematic Showdown

Posted : July 25, 2024 at 10:41 pm IST by ManaTeluguMovies

The upcoming clash between Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh, two pivotal figures in Telugu cinema, has ignited significant anticipation among fans. The duo’s collaborative history is intrinsically linked to the evolution of Telugu commercial cinema.

Their partnership, marked by films like “Idiot,” “Itlu Sravani Subramanyam,” and “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi,” redefined the conventional hero archetype. The brash, irreverent characters they created resonated deeply with the youth, establishing a unique cinematic style often referred to as “Puri style.” While “Neninthe” didn’t achieve commercial success, it garnered a cult following, demonstrating the enduring appeal of their collaboration.

Despite subsequent projects not reaching the same heights, the Ravi Teja-Puri Jagannadh combination remains etched in the minds of audiences. Their upcoming films, “Mr. Bachchan” and “Double Ismart,” respectively, are set for a direct clash on Independence Day. Both filmmakers are in need of a commercial success to revitalize their careers.

Adding an interesting layer to this cinematic showdown is the fact that “Mr. Bachchan” director Harish Shankar was once an assistant to Puri Jagannadh. This shared professional history adds an extra dimension to the competition.

As the release date approaches, the film industry and audiences alike are eagerly awaiting the outcome of this high-stakes battle.
