Just a few weeks ago, a huge controversy involving Nayanthara and Dhanush engulfed Kollywood. It all started off when Dhanush filed a copyright claim for ₹10 crore after Netflix used the footage of his production, film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan for their documentary on Nayantara and Vignesh Sivan.
This quickly resulted in Nayantara writing an open letter to Dhanush faulting him for asking such huge money for a simple video that lasts for five seconds. She severely criticised him for showing his lackluster nature and greed.
However, after releasing this letter, Nayantara never really spoke out about the same in front of the media. Now she has finally responded to the matter as she sat down for an interview with a national media outlet and revealed some interesting facts about the situation.
Nayanathara stated that she and her husband Vignesh had approached directly and also through friends to get permission for the mentioned 5-second video. But with Dhanush, being adamant about the copyright claim, both Nayantara and Vignesh Sivan were greatly agitated by the same.
While all other producers had permitted using the footage from their films, featuring Nayantara, it was only Dhanush who stood against it, and this has triggered the actress. She broke out with an open letter, and we all know what happened later.
Finally, Nayanathara decided to clarify her side of the story on this matter, and we now have to wait and see if Dhanush will also do the same in the near future.
