For the unversed, Jr NTR and Rajiv Kanakala are very good friends. They first met on the sets of Student No. 1 and they have been traveling together ever since. It is said that Jr NTR often suggests his directors to cast Rajiv for important roles in his films. When asked about the same, Rajiv came up with an interesting response.
“It is true that Tarak asks his directors to cast me for important roles in almost all of his films. But I ask him not to do that. The director should be given full freedom in this regard. If he feels I fit for the role, he should approach me, or else, he should pick an actor who he feels fits the specifications. Decisions like these shouldn’t be influenced or forced. I often suggest Tarak to refrain from referring me for roles in his films,’ he said.
Rajiv further added that he catches up with Jr NTR every now and then. The senior actor says he and Jr NTR share a very close bonding.”I am lucky to have a person like him in my life. He is a great friend of mine.”
Jr NTR will next be seen in Rajamouli’s heavy-duty action drama RRR. Post the Rajamouli directorial, NTR will be collaborating with Koratla Siva for NTR30.
