The film was released last month and in its total run, it has collected a share of Rs. 15 crores. The distribution rights were sold for nearly Rs. 14 crores. Thus, it managed to evade the losses and also brought slight profits to the people who have invested in it.
In fact, Sai Dharam Tej had a market of 20 crores a couple of years back. But the series of flops made his market value less and in the case of Chitralahari, the buyers weren’t interested to take a risk by acquiring the rights for high prices. Eventually, that worked out well for the film. Tej is currently gearing up to start his next project with director Maruthi.
