With a clean chit, Sekhar Reddy is now basically free to do anything he wants, which is probably why he is warning the media pre-emptively. There have been several rumors about the Andhra Pradesh government handing over the Sand contract to Sekhar Reddy, but Sekhar Reddy has stated with the help of the media that he has no involvement in that.
Sekhar Reddy also said that he has issued these notices with the help of a Supreme Court judge. Sekhar Reddy also stated, with the help of media, that he has not been involved in any mining or tendering activities that have taken place in the state so far. However, Sekhar Reddy has not specifically mentioned that he wouldn’t participate in any of those activities in the future.
On the other hand, the AP government recently changed its sand policies, by introducing a new rule which allows a sand contract to be given to just one contractor so that there would be no discrepancies in the way that sand is transported. What’s become highly interesting is how Sekhar Reddy’s name immediately surfaced after the policy was changed by the government.
Back when Sekhar Reddy was caught with all that cash, the YSRCP members started saying that Reddy is Lokesh and Chandrababu’s binami. If that were true, then why did Babu fire Reddy from his post in TTD? And in a weird twist of events, as soon as Jagan became the Chief Minister, Jagan made Reddy a member of the TTD trust. With such interesting turn of events, it is difficult to say what’s true and what’s not, and what will happen in the near future.
