Its High Time Social Media Change Policy Dealing with complaints

Posted : June 24, 2022 at 7:07 pm IST by ManaTeluguMovies

If used in the right way, social media is a good tool to keep the stars stay in touch with their fans and followers. Compared to other media, the information and news can be spread rapidly. The negative part of social media is the toxicity it brings.

Despite having a good number of followers, it is tough for female celebrities to spend time as users comment on whatever they want. Looking at the comment session under the posts, we can understand the level of toxicity. Not just the heroines, but other celebrities also face such objectionable experiences.

Looking at social media from a critical point of view, feminists who raise their voices for women and their rights are targeted often. Singer-dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada and Anchor-actor Anasuya are targeted by trollers. Whenever Anasuya posts any pictures, trollers target her for posting such pictures and they also remind her of her age and her duties as a mother of two kids.

Chinmayi Sripada doesn’t shy away from hitting back at the trollers who attack her. Ever since she started raising her voice for the victims when the much-talked-about #MeToo movement popped up, she became a target of a section of people and they troll her no matter what the issue is.

Forget about trolling, they send objectionable pics of their private parts. She complained about the same to Instagram. Rather than taking action against those who are sending the pics, the social media platform blacked her account. Expressing her shock over the action taken by the photo and video-sharing social networking service Instagram.

The reason is that the social media platforms follow certain guidelines and policies while reacting to the complaints received. If a bunch of complaints are raised and the account is reported on the grounds of violating the community guidelines then the account will be blocked temporarily. The same happened with Chinmayi Sripada.

‘Instagram has basically removed MY account for reporting men who send ME their penises on DMs. It’s been going on for a while where I report but MY access was barred’ the Singer and Dubbing Artist said on social media.
