Shakeela, who once rocked the whole country with her series of sleaze films, is now in hibernation and is living a virtual retired life. She has now created a splash by joining the Congress Party. She will work for the party in the Human Rights wing of the state party. Whether her entry will bring a shift in Tamil politics remains to be seen.
Shakeela was a very popular actress mainly in Malayalam films and was known for her sexy portrayal in the films. She has done over 200 films. She forayed into films at the age of 18 and has worked in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and even in Hindi films. Whether she will campaign for the party or will share the stage with the DMK leaders, with whom the Congress has an alliance, are not immediately known. But, one thing is sure. She is out to create a splash even at this age
