‘Theri’ & ‘Mersal’ Combo To Reunite Once Again?

Thalapathy Vijay is all set to arrive on 15th August with ‘GOAT’. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music for it. The glimpse, the first song and the posters created a lot of hype on this interesting project. After this, he is expected to join hands with director H Vinoth and it will be having a political backdrop.

With Vijay entering politics and announcing that he will be contesting in the next elections, this movie has gained a lot of prominence. There are discussions going on about the film’s heroine. Apparently, star actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is the frontrunner for that role. Vijay and Sam worked together before in ‘Theri’ and ‘Mersal’. Both of them were directed by Atlee. Back in 2014, they paired up in Murugadoss’ blockbuster movie ‘Kaththi’ as well.

Since all of them were successful, fans are hoping that Sam gets finalized as the female lead. Samantha is currently working on ‘Citadel: Honeybunny’ and ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’. Sam has been going through a rough period lately with none of her films succeeding at the box office. She is quite active on social media and is managing to keep the spotlight on her but she needs a hit to prolong her career.
