Recently, OTT companies had begun discussions with producers of small movies to release their films directly on their platforms skipping the theatrical release route.

The OTT platforms had seen a sudden spike in subscribers and there is a huge demand for new movies on these platforms as everyone has plenty of time available during this lockdown period.

It is a fact that some producers indeed hold discussions with OTT companies and demanded huge money to compensate for the loss of theatrical revenue but the talks had failed.

However, reports doing the rounds that Raj Tarun starrer “Orey Bujjigaa” struck a deal with a digital company and it would skip the theatrical release.

Denying these reports, producer KK Radha Mohan tweeted, “Don’t believe in rumours about skipping the theatrical release of #OreyBujjiga. We will update about the theatrical release date once normalcy is restored.”

“Orey Bujjiga” is directed by Konda Vijay Kumar and it was to release on March 25, 2020. Due to lockdown, the film’s release has been stopped.
