“There’s an anchor I’d like to talk about. He challenged me to create a hit song without alcohol references. For your information, Born To Shine, Kinni Kinni, GOAT, Naina, and Lover are far bigger hits than Patiala Peg,” Diljit said, his voice carrying the weight of success. “My work is not cheap; my films have even won National Film Awards!” The singer also made it clear that while adding disclaimers about alcohol in concerts may seem like an easy fix, it would make him appear as if he’s targeting someone a stance he was unwilling to take.

His comments followed a notice from the Telangana government, urging him not to perform songs that promote alcohol, drugs, or violence during his show in Hyderabad. Not one to back down, Diljit turned up the heat during his Ahmedabad performance, humorously suggesting that he would stop singing alcohol-related songs only when the government issues a nationwide ban on the substance. “Until then, I’ll keep rocking my songs the way I do,” he added with a smile, keeping the mood light despite the tension.

As Diljit gears up for his Dil Luminati India tour, he’s clearly ready to face any challenge that comes his way onstage or off. The latest documentary series on Netflix, “Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale,” gives an interesting peek into the life of South Indian cinema’s reigning queen, Nayanthara. This documentary was directed by Amit Krishnan and is now available on the streaming giant Netflix.The nearly one-hour-twenty-two-minute documentary wonderfully tells Nayanthara’s journey right from her childhood to when she rose as a lady superstar.

It begins with Nayanthara’s childhood photo and school days, passing on to her early days in the film world. The movie also analyzes how she got her first break in cinema and transitioned from Malayalam to Tamil cinema.In the documentary, Nayanthara opens up about all sorts of struggles she faced in the initial days in the industry body shaming and how she went about overcoming it. The criticisms of their personal life and their fall affect their careers. She says how she bounced back from it.

Several directors and producers who have worked with Nayanthara have also spoken about their experiences regarding the actress’s trustworthiness and perseverance. Her unique role as Sita in “Sri Rama Rajyam” is particularly highlighted, even though there has been a lot of publicity regarding the negative criticisms surrounding her taking up that role.
