Kalki 2: Not in Near Future At All!
While it was always expected that Kalki would be a huge deal for Prabhas, the film exceeded expectations at the box office and went on to become a Rs 1000 crore grosser. Usually, when there is a 1000 crore grosser at the box office, the director and hero are determined to make the sequel.
But in the case of Kalki, the exact opposite is happening as both Nag Ashwin and Prabhas have started to trek on completely different routes. While Nag is busy with the scripting for the second part which is likely to take another year or two based on his work rate, Prabhas is busy with other films.
Prabhas has Raja Saab which is already in the making while the film with Sandeep Reddy Vanga – Spirit is also in the horizon and is bound to happen in the near future. We then Hanu Raghavapudi’s ongoing Fauzi as well. Prashanth Neel’s Salaar 2 also might happen in the future. By the looks of it, Prabhas’s calendar is completely full for the time being and he doesn’t have many free dates at the moment.
This makes it clear that Nag Ashwin might have to wait for a fair amount of time if he intends to make Kalki 2 with Prabhas. The chances are that he might be vacant for shootings only towards the latter half of 2026 which is rather a fair way away from now.

AP Police Arrived to Nab Ram Gopal Varma!
Ram Gopal Varma’s life seems to mimic the suspense and drama of his films. The maverick filmmaker found himself at the center of real-life action as the Prakasam district police reached his Hyderabad residence on Monday. The move followed Varma’s failure to appear at Ongole police station for questioning regarding a defamation case linked to his film Vyuham. With Varma unresponsive to summons, the police appear to be closing in, potentially taking the matter a step further with an arrest.
The case in question revolves around alleged defamatory social media posts targeting TDP leaders Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh. Filed under the IT Act by TDP Mandal General Secretary Ramalingam, the accusations stem from Varma’s film promotions. The director had cited prior shooting commitments for missing the initial questioning on November 19, prompting the authorities to issue fresh notices. While Varma expressed willingness to cooperate via digital hearing, this didn’t deter the police from showing up at his doorstep.
Adding to the intrigue, Varma has hinted at political motives behind the case. The director has already approached the court, seeking anticipatory bail and alleging malice in the complaint. He has maintained that his posts were neither defamatory nor divisive, painting the situation as a targeted attempt to suppress his creative voice. Meanwhile, ongoing legal proceedings regarding his petitions for anticipatory bail and quashing the case further complicate the narrative.
As the tension unfolds, one can’t help but wonder if Varma will turn this ordeal into another cinematic masterpiece. Perhaps, his next film could be titled Vyuham 2: The Chase Continues! After all, art often imitates life, and Varma seems to have a knack for turning controversy into content.
