For your information, Born To Shine, Kinni Kinni, GOAT, Naina, and Lover are far bigger hits than Patiala Peg,” Diljit said, his voice carrying the weight of success. “My work is not cheap; my films have even won National Film Awards!” The singer also made it clear that while adding disclaimers about alcohol in concerts may seem like an easy fix, it would make him appear as if he’s targeting someone a stance he was unwilling to take.

His comments followed a notice from the Telangana government, urging him not to perform songs that promote alcohol, drugs, or violence during his show in Hyderabad. Not one to back down, Diljit turned up the heat during his Ahmedabad performance, humorously suggesting that he would stop singing alcohol-related songs only when the government issues a nationwide ban on the substance. “Until then, I’ll keep rocking my songs the way I do,” he added with a smile, keeping the mood light despite the tension.
