Ayurvedic practitioner Anandaiah, popularly known as Krishnapatnam Anandaiah who shot to super popularity with his medicine, which he dubbed as the cure to the novel Coronavirus has now created a big stir in the state by alleging selling medicine as a cure to the Omicron variant of the pandemic.
The villagers of Krishnapatnam who are against the practice of Anandaiah to sell the medicine without proper evidence and permission from the concerned authorities have complained to the authorities. As a result, Nellore District Joint Collector had served notices to Anandaiah in this matter.
In the notices, the Joint Collector sought an explanation from Anandaiah as to what permission he has got to distribute the medicine. The Ayurvedic practitioner Anandaiah had responded to the notices he received from the Joint Collector on the medicine distribution.
As a response to the notches, Anandaiah alleged that he never dubbed the miracle medicine as the cure for the Omicron variant and he just said that it can boost the immunity against any variant of the novel Coronavirus.
Saying that he will give an explanation for the notice served to him by the Nellore district Joint Collector, Anandaiah claimed that he is distributing the medicine for free of cost, he sought the intervention of the Andhra Pradesh government in this matter for the smooth distribution of the medicine.
Things turned ugly in Krishnapatnam when the villagers who were concerned about the virus spreading with people reaching the village from other places for the medicine asked the practitioner if he had got the required permission or not. Tension gripped the village with the heated arguments between Anandaiah and the villagers in Krishnapatnam.
With the situation seeming out of hand, the cops showed up at the spot and pacified the angry villagers, and brought the situation under control.
It has to be noted that, during the second wave of Coronavirus, Anandaiah’s medicine became a huge hit among the people, and looking at the popularity of his medicine, people from other places rushed to Krishnapatnam to take the medicine. Thankfully the medicine showed no side effects which increased the popularity of his medicine.
