Hyderabad, India – [DATE] – Following a string of projects across South Indian and Hindi cinema, acclaimed actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to venture into a captivating new web series titled “Rakth Brahmand.” This marks a reunion with the dynamic director duo Raj & DK, who previously collaborated with Samantha on the highly successful Amazon Prime series “The Family Man.”

While Samantha has established herself as a leading force in Telugu and Tamil cinema, she has also been actively pursuing opportunities in the burgeoning Indian OTT landscape. Her captivating performance in “The Family Man” garnered her widespread acclaim and solidified her position as a versatile actress.

“Rakth Brahmand,” currently in the pre-production stage, is reportedly a horror series produced by Raj & DK’s banner D2R Films. The series will be helmed by Rahi Anil, known for his critically acclaimed work on the atmospheric horror film “Tumbbad.” This collaboration between Samantha and Rahi Anil promises a thrilling and suspenseful narrative, further amplified by the series’ horror genre.

The series boasts a promising cast alongside Samantha. Aditya Roy Kapur, a popular Bollywood actor, is expected to play a lead role, and actress Wamiqa Gabbi is also rumored to be part of the ensemble. Filming is anticipated to begin in August 2024, with a targeted release on Netflix in late 2025.

They have been ruling their respective industries for the past 4-5 decades. Despite being in their 60s and 70s, they are still setting an example for the younger generation regarding dedication, focus and discipline in various aspects of life. But the three legends have recently committed huge blunders regarding their script choices.

Chiranjeevi came up with ‘Bholaa Shankar’ last year. The movie never had a positive vibe around it and people did not care to watch it by evening on the first day. It was a nightmare for the mega fans. Disasters are not new to Chiranjeevi as he had some in his illustrious career but the result of ‘Bholaa Shankar’ shook him so much that he canceled Kalyan Krishna’s project which he okayed and decided to try something new with ‘Viswambhara’.

Superstar Rajnikanth did ‘Laal Salaam’ after a blockbuster like ‘Jailer’ out of love for his daughter. It garnered a lot of negativity that none of his previous failures managed to get. Even Netflix which bought the OTT rights is not streaming it. Fans have forgotten this film and decided not to talk about it again.

For Kamal, it came in the form of ‘Indian 2’. His own Tamil Nadu crowd rejected such a prestigious sequel so badly that it did not even get a collection of 50 crores at the end of the first week. The much-awaited combo of Shankar and Kamal has disappointed big time. At this age, these three legends are doing films out of passion but not for money.

Rajni is doing ‘Coolie’, Chiru is doing ‘Viswambhara’ while Kamal has ‘Thug Life’ lined up. Such great actors need quality scripts and the directors need to make sure that they don’t the legacy of these legends by making such duds once again.
