Actress Ramya (Divya Spandana) got defeated in Lok Sabha polls by a thin margin of just over 4,000 votes. While Janata Dal (Secular) candidate CS Puttaraju secured 516,650 votes, Our beauty managed to get 512,310 votes in Mandhya Lok Sabha Constituency, Karnataka.

Apparently, Ramya is the sitting MP of Mandhya Lok Sabha segment. She emerged as victorious in the by-elections held in this constituency a year ago. Although she was offered the same constituency in 2014 Polls, Ramya failed to recreate the magic.

Party Sources say, Lack of proper co-ordination between Ramya and Party Leaders in the constituency ruined her winning chances. It is even said that she neglected loyal party workers and hence paid a huge price.

As of now, Ramya is on a vacation in London and will return to the country only by the end of May. Three of her Kannada films were waiting for release and she will be taking a final call on whether to continue acting or turn into a full-time politician soon.
