The stage is being preapred for the grand theatrical debut of Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s Pushpa 2 which is up for release on the 5th of December. The film has a lot riding on it and there is a lot riding into the pre release theatrical buzz of the intense actioner.

Now that the Pushpa mania has started to grip all over, here is a look at the kind of stuff that the film is pulling up at the ticket counters and also on the digital mediums.

As per latest reports, Pushpa 2 has clocked over 120 million views in under 48 hours which is a mighty feat in itself. This is a mad number, considering the kind of reach that it has attained. The increased penetration of the first part and the sequel advantage for the second part are evidently working the trick here.

Coming to the USA box office prospects, these are looking pretty positive as well. The film has reportedly collected in the range of $1 million from the USA premieres already. This is a positive trend two weeks prior to the release.

Now, a lot will depend on the trend after the arrival of the trailer. This will be the decisive trend for the film. Considering that Devara minted in the vicinity of $3.5 million and this could be a benchmark for the forthcoming films, it has to be seen if Pushpa 2 will breach this mark ahead of the release.

Pushpa 2 is a commercial actioner featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles and it is helmed by Sukumar. The film is produced on a lavish scale by Mythri Movie Makers and the stakes are pretty high on this one.

Why Dhanush’s Heroines Supported Nayanthara?

All hell broke lose after Dhanush put a Rs 10 crore copyright strike on Netflix for using a 3-second BTS clip from Naanum Rowdy Thaan featuring Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan. This triggered a serious reaction from Nayanthara who questioned the moral values of Dhanush for making a meal of such a topic.

However, the more interesting point here is that the actresses who worked with Dhanush earlier have posted in support of this update from Nayanthara.

The likes of Nazriya Naazim, Anupama Parameswaran, Aishwarya Rajesh, Manjima Mohan, and Aishwarya Lekshmi have expressed support to Nayanthara’s social media post. They are all evidently standing against Dhanush on this matter.

Had it been one or two actresses who earlier worked with Dhanush who expressed solidarity with Nayanthara, it would have been different. But the fact that several actress have come forward to dissent on Dhanush has become a hot topic in itself. What is the reason for so many actresses to diss Dhanush at once on this sensitive topic?

Does this indicate that all wasn’t well between them in the first place? No one knows the answer for now. But what we are hearing is that Dhanush is looking for a legal discourse on this matter now as he wishes to fight Nayanthara through legal means.
