Will firebrand YSRCP leader and YSRCP’s Kamma face Kodali Nani be out of the Jagan’s cabinet? Though considered quite close to YS Jagan, Nani may be shown the door this time, say sources. He could be replaced with a candidate from his own social community. Kodali Nani’s recent statement that ministry or no ministry, he would stay with YS Jagan and that he would launch a more virulent attack on Chandrababu once he is out of the cabinet are being seen as indications that he is likely to be asked to make way for other leaders.

Nani’s recent utterances show that he has already been briefed about the decision to replace him. Hence, he spoke about being out of the ministry. He also said that he would stay with YS Jagan come what may. This again is being seen as an indication that he has been tipped off already. Nani has been one of the staunchest critics of Chandrababu Naidu.

Sources say that Nani is likely to be made the regional incharge of the party for the YSRCP in Krishna and Guntur districts. A four-time MLA from Gudivada, he is likely to be given the party ticket from Gudivada the next time too. Nani has indicated that for him, a ministerial post is a hindrance for making an all-out attack on Chandrababu. Without a ministry, he would go hammer and tongs after Chandrababu, he said.

Ever since Kodali Nani made this statement about being out of ministry, the speculations are rife about who would replace him. Sources say he would be replaced by someone from the same community. The YSRCP has three Kamma MLAs besides Nani. They are Talasila Raghuram, Vasanta Krishna Prasad and Abbaiah Chowdary of West Godavari district. Let’s wait and see who would go on to become a minster.
