In 2018, Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha’s wedding made headlines for its opulence. Each wedding invitation reportedly cost three lakh rupees. Global celebrities attended and Beyoncé performed, earning around 50 crore rupees according to rumors. The total cost of Isha’s wedding was approximately 830 crore rupees making it the most expensive wedding in India at that time.

The following year Ambani’s son Akash’s wedding surpassed even that. The pre-wedding festivities in Switzerland alone reportedly cost 800 crore rupees for a three-day event. The wedding itself, held over three days in Mumbai, saw attendance from high-profile figures such as the Google CEO and the British Prime Minister. In total nearly one thousand crore rupees were spent.

Now Anant Ambani’s wedding is set to eclipse these previous celebrations. The pre-wedding events have already cost 1260 crore rupees. By the time the main event concludes, the total expenditure is expected to reach 1500 crore rupees.

This makes Anant Ambani’s wedding potentially the most expensive wedding not only in India but in the entire world.
