Having successfully deviated from the promise of making Dalit candidate as Chief Minister of Telangana state, TRS President K.Chandra Sekhar Rao makes a new attempt to woo Dalits. Speaking in the meeting of newly elected TRS MLAs and MPs, KCR said he wants to keep the Dalit Welfare Ministry with himself, if they permit. He also promised that his government will allot 50,000 Crores for Dalit welfare.

KCR also resorted to sentiment, “Please do not touch a penny allotted to dalits. If any one needs money, please ask me. I will some how manage money even by catching some one’s legs. But I will never tolerate Political corruption”. KCR also maintained that TRS is committed to 12% reservation to the minorities and he will be forming a committee to decide up on it very soon. Governor’s rule is currently on in the state. KCR will be sworn in as Chief Minister of Telangana after the appointed day (June 2nd).
