KHAMMAM: Amid the fear of a possible third wave, Khammam has started witnessing a gradual increase in the number of children, between the ages 0 and 12, getting infected by Covid-19. According to official sources, while a total of 800 children tested positive for the virus in April and May, the number has shot up and around 1,480 children have tested positive for Covid in June, till Monday.

These details came to light during the door-to-door survey organised by the authorities concerned. Out of the total 16,302 cases recorded in the district during the survey, 1,480 were children. However, since most of them experience only mild to moderate symptoms, the officials opine that the situation is under control.

Meanwhile, the Health Department officials have already shifted those positive kids having moderate symptoms to the designated Covid ward opened at the district headquarters hospital a few days ago. Speaking to Express, DMHO Dr B Malathi said that the recovery rate among children in the district has been 100 per cent till date.

Arjun Das Overwhelmed By Saying Dialogues To Amitabh!

Posted : July 3, 2024 at 8:17 pm IST by ManaTeluguMovies

Talented actor Arjun Das, known for his distinct voice and on-screen presence, is making a mark in both Kollywood and Tollywood. He recently garnered praise for his work in Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film “OG,” where his powerful voice significantly elevated the film’s teaser.

However, it’s his role in the magnum opus “Kalki 2898 AD” that has truly captured the imagination of fans. Das lent his voice to Lord Krishna in the film, and his booming delivery left a lasting impression. The experience, as Das himself describes, was a dream come true.

In a heartfelt note to the film’s team, Das recounted his initial hesitation when approached for the role. “A few weeks ago, Swapna called and asked if I would dub for Lord Krishna in Kalki,” he wrote. “Being a lifelong fan of Amitabh Bachchan, and having attempted to mimic his voice in my youth, I wasn’t sure I could do it justice.”

However, the prospect of sharing screen space (through voice acting) with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan was too enticing to resist. “Swapna convinced me by saying, ‘You will be talking to Amitabh Bachchan,'” Das shared.

Upon arriving at the studio, the weight of the opportunity hit Das. “The moment I heard Bachchan Sir’s dub, it took a while to sink in,” he admitted. “All I could hear were his iconic dialogues playing in my head.”

Overcoming his initial awe, Das dove into the project with dedication. He credited director Nag Ashwin for his invaluable guidance throughout the process. “Despite his busy schedule,” Das stated, “Nag Ashwin was kind enough to sit with me for three days and guide me through the dubbing.”

While time constraints limited Das to recording the dialogues in Telugu and Hindi, his gratitude for the opportunity remained immense. He expressed his appreciation to the entire team, particularly Swapna and Nag Ashwin, for their trust and support.

The highlight of the experience, however, was undoubtedly the chance to interact with his idol. “As a little kid, I would have never dreamt of saying dialogues to Bachchan Sir,” Das wrote. “Thank you team Kalki. That kid has a smile on his face for a lifetime.”

Das’s story exemplifies the power of dedication and the thrill of achieving a childhood dream. His performance in “Kalki 2898 AD” is a testament to his talent and a reminder of the magic that cinema can create.
