Story:

Rishi (Adivi Sesh) and Swetha (Adah Sharma) are lovers but situations separate them. Rishi goes to USA and gets settled there as an investment banker. Meanwhile, Swetha gets married and even has a child. One day, Rishi receives a call from Swetha and immediately goes to India. Swetha’s girl child gets kidnapped and she seeks the help of Rishi in finding her. But as he sets for hunting the little girl, Rishi finds the entire system not co-operating him. What happens further in the story forms the rest.

Performances:

Adivi Sesh shoulders the entire film from the first frame to the last. He impresses you with his emotional performance and amazing screen presence. We have seen Adah Sharma in glamour roles until now and for a change, she gets a meaty role and tried her best to walk through it. Even though she struggled with the expressions, her honest attempt should be commended. Its a shocking role for Anasuya as she set aside her glamour side and gels well in the role of a cop. She is very convincing especially in the climax and is an interesting prospect. Satyam Rajesh is good as a frustrated honest cop. Satyadev, Ravi Varma and Vennela Kishore are good as well.

Technical Performances:

Debut director Ravikanth is good for a first timer. Adivi Sesh gets 100 marks for the story as well as screenplay. Ravikanth only has to execute it decently. The second half of the film should have been trimmed a bit as the lag is clearly visible. The climax looked predictable especially when the director is opening the suspense. Director tried to mask it with an emotional touch. Some of the scenes looked quality less and the inexperience of the director is exposed there. Music director Sricharan Pakala, who has given a thumping background score which lifts the film. The music however is not that great. Cinematography is good in parts while Production Values are appropriate. Dialogues are okay. Editing should have been better.

Plus Points:
Story
Twists

Minus Points:

Director’s inexperience at some places
Weak Climax.

Final Say:

Kshanam is a different offering to Telugu audience. It has its share of discrepancies but still the film will satisfy the expectations we carry for a small film and with such cast. The makers have made it in a shoe string budget and that will help it immensely at the box office to recover the investment.
