Responding to the killing of 24 of their men in a gun battle with Grey Hound Forces near Andhra Pradesh-Odisha Border two days ago, Maoists have warned AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his family of suicide bomb attack.

Signed by their official spokesperson Shyam, a threatening letter was released by the Maoists on Wednesday evening. Through the letter, they called the recent gun battle nothing but a well-planned covert operation hatched by Chandrababu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

‘Our men were first poisoned with the help of a covert and then police men mercilessly shot dead the unconscious people,’ the letter alleged. They pledged to come for revenge and threatened to attack not just Chandrababu but also his family with suicide bombers if needed.

‘The state government has resorted to genocide in the disguise of a police operation. We will reinforce within four days and then no police or military protection can safeguard you from our attack,’ the Maoists claimed in the letter targeted at Chandrababu.

The rebels demanded for the immediate release of their men who were captured by the AP police. They also threatened to target politicians from now onwards.

Police are currently looking into the details in the letter. They are also chalking out plans to up the security for Chandrababu Naidu’s family.
