‘Sarangapani Jathakam’ Teaser: Wholesome family entertainer with thrills
he Teaser of ‘Sarangapani Jathakam’ begins with Priyadarshi’s character wondering if everything is predetermined. Soon enough, Srinivas Avasarala’s flamboyant character ostensibly stuns him with a prediction. Later on in the Teaser, we get a sense that Sarangapani is almost pathological, either because paranoia has consumed him, or fear of the future has taken him over. Either way, he needs to be saved.
Not for nothing it is said that Mohanakrishna Indraganti is a thinking director. He is well-read and has a literary bent of mind. So, the ‘Jathakam’ in the film’s title must not be deemed as an advertisement for horoscope-reading. There must be surely more to his third film with Sridevi Movies, after ‘Sammohanam’ and ‘Gentleman’.
Priyadarshi is joined by an ensemble cast: the characters played by VK Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Viva Harsha and Tanikella Bharani cater to different sensibilities. If some serve the Jandhayal variety of madcap humour, others are there to give the EVV Satyanarayana doses. Roopa Kodavayur plays Sarangapani’s affluent love interest.
Vivek Sagar’s background score evokes a sense of suspense. PG Vinda and Raveender have handled the cinematography and production design departments, respectively.
Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad has plans to release the movie on December 20th. Vijay Deverakonda, the heartthrob of the Telugu film industry, launched the teaser.
he actor shared that he believes in desitny but not exactly in astrology.
