Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming film Sita Ramam under the direction of Haanu Raghavapudi is a period love story set in war backdrop in 60s.

Mrunal Thakur played the leading lady in the movie which begins its musical journey.

First single from the film that is out now is a retro style melody with SP Charan and Ramya Behara crooning it pleasantly.

The song that goes Oh Sita Hey Rama is instantly likeable with Anantha Sriram penning catchy yet meaningful lyrics which narrate the beautiful love story of the lead pair.

Scored by Vishal Chandrashekar, the beats and the sounds are on point to make it sound like an authentic old classic.

There indeed is a cautious effort to make this one remindful of songs in the combination of Ilayaraja and SP Balu.

Dulquer and Mrunal shared sparkling chemistry in the song and the romantic track looks loveable on screen.

They literally took us back to 60s and 70s with the setup, costumes and the composition. It’s a good start for the musical journey of the film of the genre.
