As Rajamouli’s “RRR” has been postponed, two more films have locked the Sankranthi slot.

Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya’s “Bangarraju” will be one of the main films for the Sankranthi festival.

Nagarjuna will announce the release date today. The film is in the post-production stage. Directed by Kalyan Krishna, “Bangarraju” is an ideal festival movie, as it is a family entertainer.

The film is the sequel to the 2016 blockbuster “Soggade Chinni Nayana”, which also hit the theaters during the Sankranthi festival.

Senior producer Dil Raju is also releasing another film for Sankranthi 2022. “Rowdy Boys” will confirm the date now.

The film introduces Dil Raju’s nephew (producer Sirish’s son) Ashish as the lead hero. Dil Raju believes the festival season is ideal for his nephew to get recognition.
