Taking many by surprise, Chandrababu Naidu has chosen Uravakonda MLA Payyavula Keshav as the Chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC). While the likes of ex-minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, ex-Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa, senior leader Karanam Balaram, MLAs Gadde Rammohan, Anagani Satyaprasad, Ganababu are the others who were in the race for the post, Chandrababu has chosen Keshav as his choice.

Opposition leader and TDP chief has discussed with the party leaders and picked Keshav for the post. Keshav has been loyal to the party and is sincere, honest leader. He lost as an MLA earlier when TDP was in power. Considering his services to party and people, Naidu has chosen Keshav for the job.

PAC chairman post is crucial post which gives right to question the government over the expenditure of public exchequer on various things. The post that traditionally goes to Opposition party has Cabinet Rank. Earlier when TDP was in ruling from 2014 to 2019, present finance minister of AP Buggana Rajendranath Reddy had acted as the PAC chairman representing from YSRCP.

By picking Keshav, Naidu has sent clear signals to Ganta and other leaders. There have been rumours, speculations that Ganta would jump to BJP along with a few other MLAs. Amidst this, Naidu said to have made a good move by picking a staunch loyalist for the key post. Naturally, this move has upset the others who were vying up for the post.
