Besides this, we hear that it’s tough battle for Galla Aruna Kumari and YSR Congress candidate Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy who earlier served as TUDA chairman and ex-officio member of TTD trust board. And Chevireddy has been working hard in the region ever since YSR Congress was floated. It is buzzed that he was partly succeeded in keeping up the “YSR Tempo” alive in the area. So mostly, it’s a neck-and-neck between Galla Aruna and Chevireddy.
In 2009, Galla Aruna Kumari thrashed R.K Roja of TDP by over 10,000 votes. Yet the aunty of Mahesh Babu and daughter of former Chittoor MP, late P. Rajagopal Naidu is walking through a tight rope this time around. Anti-incumbency is also one of the factors that is working against her. If Galla Aruna could wake up to reality, at least, now and initiates damage-control steps, she still have winning chances given that the constituency is Naidu’s bastion in the past and currently, TDP wave is there in Seemandhra.
