Ever since the news of Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam fetching a whopping Rs 13 Crore in overseas broke out, rumour mongers are busy crediting Namrata as the mastermind behind the deal. But we learnt that there’s no truth in it.

On contacted, sources close to Namrata Ghattamaneni quashed them as baseless. “Namrata and Mahesh Babu are not producers of the film. It’s completely PVP’s film and it’s his call to sell it to whom and at what price. Namrata has absolutely no role in the business deal whatsoever.

Even she got to know about the deal only after it is closed,” divulged a source in the know on condition of anonymity. Meanwhile, this is touted to be highest ever amount offered to a Telugu film for its overseas rights so far.

Since Mahesh’s previous film Srimanthudu mint money at the BO, trade pundits expecting Mahesh to repeat the magic.
