Batting Maestro Sachin Tendulkar will be undergoing a precautionary MRI scan on Monday after he got hit by a speeding delivery from Brett Lee while batting during the match against Australia.
Sachin completely misread the pace and bounce of the final delivery of Brett Lee’s second over. The ball ended up hitting the grill of cricketer’s helmet and gone up in the air. Mid-on fielder Xavier Doherty took the catch, and the entire Australian applealed for the master’s wicket. However, umpire Steve Davis declared Sachin as notout after getting convinced that the ball hadn’t touched the bat before hitting the helmet.
Though Sachin has survived the appeal, his troubles didn’t end there itself. Brett Lee’s super fast delivery has hit him hard on the forehead, just above the right eye.
Sachin continued the batting despite receiving the hard blow on his head. But the batsman didn’t last for long as he was declared out the very next delivery he faced in Ben Hilfenhaus over. After getting back to the dressing room, he was seen taking the ice treatment on the swelling. As a precautionary measure he will undergo MRI scan Today.
