Posted : July 3, 2024 at 8:49 pm IST by ManaTeluguMovies

Legendary filmmaker Shankar, renowned for his pioneering use of technology in Indian cinema, is currently promoting his upcoming film “Indian 2.” Shankar’s grand vision and commitment to pushing boundaries have consistently set new standards for visual effects, camera techniques, and storytelling. From “Gentleman” to the mammoth “2.0,” technology has been a cornerstone of his filmmaking approach.

As Indian cinema witnesses a surge in big-budget productions like “Baahubali,” “Brahmastra,” “KGF,” “RRR,” and the recent record-shattering “Kalki 2898 AD,” Shankar remains a key figure in the industry’s evolution.

Speaking about “Kalki 2898 AD,” Shankar showered the film with praise. “Yesterday, I watched ‘Kalki,’ and it truly represents the pride of Indian cinema,” he declared. He even referenced a prediction he made three months prior, stating that “Kalki” would reach the ₹1000 crore mark, a feat it appears poised to achieve.

Shankar’s optimism extends beyond “Kalki.” He expressed his belief that upcoming films like “Kangana,” “Pushpa 2,” and “Coolie” will also achieve similar success, further bolstering Indian cinema’s global standing.

Receiving such recognition from a legendary filmmaker like Shankar is a significant validation for the “Kalki” team. This positive sentiment has further fueled anticipation for the continuation of the “Kalki” cinematic universe. Sources suggest that nearly 60% of filming for the second part is complete, with a potential release in the latter half of 2025 if production continues smoothly.

“Kalki” is the brainchild of director Nag Ashwin, with Ashwini Dutt serving as producer alongside his daughters Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt. The film boasts a stellar cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, along with a musical score by Santosh Narayanan.

Shankar’s endorsement of “Kalki 2898 AD” and his optimistic outlook for upcoming Indian blockbusters is a testament to the ongoing creative momentum within the industry. Audiences can expect to be enthralled by a new wave of visually spectacular and commercially successful Indian cinema in the years to come.
