Soft-spoken actor Sivaji turned a firebrand politician soon after he joined BJP prior to the general elections in 2014. Since then, Sivaji has been openly voicing his opinions on several issues regarding the state’s problems and even more prominently in the special status issue. Sivaji’s attitude did not go down well with some of the BJP’s state leaders.
Senior BJP leader Somu Veerraju, who recently said that citizens of AP are not asking for special status, ridiculed Sivaji and said that the actor is not a part of BJP. Sivaji then made few allegations on Veerraju in a recent meeting in Vizag and has now faced the ire of his cadre in Rajahmundry. This evening a group of angry supporters of Veerraju reached to Sivaji’s hotel room in Rajahmundry and demanded an explanation about his comments on Veerraju.
Even though the actor tried to explain his stance and denied the allegations of talking against Veerraju, the angry cadre did not budge and demanded him to apologize for his comments on Veerraju and Venkaiah Naidu. Soon when the situation got intense, police calmed the angry protestors down and took Sivaji out through a safe route.
