The Telugu Desam has recorded a grand victory in the Nandigama Assembly By Poll by trouncing the Congress with a huge majority of 74,827 votes.

The TDP candidate Tangirala Sowmya, daughter of deceased Ex MLA clocked 99,748 votes while her closest opponent Congress candidate closed only 24,921 votes. The YSRC had abstained from the contest in anticipation of defeat. Congress however saved its deposit this time.

At the 6th round of counting in the Medak By Poll the TRS has achieved a majority of 1,63,112 votes by clocking 2,45,131 votes as against 82,019 of congress and 78,169 votes of the BJP.
