Controversial director RGV has been making a lot of noise over the past few days as his lesbian drama titled ‘Maa Ishtam’ is getting released on 8th April. While the RGV mark promotions provided a lot of buzz, the film is now getting postponed due to multiple reasons.
News is that a top multiplex chain has banned the film from screening because of the sensitive content. This forced RGV to postpone this film and he said that he will be taking legal action against these multiplexes.
On the other hand, the High Court ordered a stay on ‘Maa Ishtam’ (‘Khatra’ in Hindi). Noted producer Natti Kumar filed a case against this film in the Hyderabad City Civil Court and brought a stay. People who screen this film will be accused of contempt of court. Apparently, RGV has to pay 50 lakhs to the petitioner as per the Payment Assurance letter date 31-11-2020.
With this RGV has nothing to do but postpone this crime thriller lesbian drama with a lot of bold scenes. Apsara Rani and Naina Ganguly are the lead actors in this film made by RGV.
