Vallabhaneni Vamsi: Neither here, nor there

Posted : May 11, 2022 at 2:56 pm IST by ManaTeluguMovies

For Vallabhaneni Vamsi, the firebrand MLA of Gannavaram, the future seems to be uncertain. He is neither here nor there. He won on the TDP ticket despite the YSRCP tsunami in 2019, but has later joined hands with the YSRCP. Though he has not formally joined the YSRCP, he began working closely with the ruling party.

He had strongly attacked not just Chandrababu Naidu, but also his son Lokesh Babu. In the house, he has been acting like an unofficial YSRCP MLA. But, the problem for him is that the YSRCP leaders of Gannavaram have not reconciled to his entry into the party. They are speaking and commenting against him. Yarlagadda Venkat Rao, who fought and lost against Vamsi, is opposing his entry tooth and nail.

The YSRCP leaders have made it clear that they would not work for Vamsi, if he is made the party candidate in 2024. They have said in no uncertain terms that they would staunchly oppose his candidature.

The rebels have given a call for appointing a new constituency incharge for Gannavaram. They have also decided not to involve Vamsi in the “Gadapa Gadapaku YSRCP” programme, which has begun from May 11. This has greatly upset Vamsi. He is no longer welcome in the TDP because of his utterances against Chandrababu and his family. At the same time, he has no acceptance in the YSRCP.

It now turns out that the anti-Vallabhaneni Vamsi group of YSRCP leaders are organising a Chalo Tadepalli programme to express their dissatisfaction against Vamsi. The party leaders are now planning a bike rally from Gannavaram to the YSRCP central office. This means, Vamsi is neither here nor there.

Vishal’s Non-Stop Quest For Success Continues!

Posted : May 23, 2022 at 6:58 pm IST by ManaTeluguMovies

Tamil hero Vishal is a very familiar face in Telugu states. He has been dubbing his films for the past 17 years and some of them turned out to be big hits here. His movies get good reception in Telugu either in theatres or on television. He started on a good note with movies like ‘Chadarangam’, ‘Pandem Kodi’, ‘Bharani’, ‘Pogaru’ and a few turning out to be good hits. But most of his films tanked at the box office both in Telugu as well as Tamil.

He gradually lost his market in the Telugu states. Over the years, he has arrived with many interesting flicks like ‘Pooja’, ‘Detective’, ‘Indrudu’, ‘Palnadu’, ‘Rayudu’, ‘Jayasurya’, ‘Kathakali’ and many others but none of them were box office hits in Telugu market. His last two films ‘Enemy’ and ‘Saamanyudu’ too failed badly. But there seems to be no stopping for this Telugu-born Tamil hero as he is once again ready to test his luck with ‘Laathi’.

The first look of this film was released in April and it got a very good response. Director A Vinoth Kumar has reportedly penned a novel story with a racy screenplay and Peter Hein is the action choreographer. Sunaina will be seen playing the romantic interest of Vishal in this flick while Ramana and Nandha are bankrolling this project under ‘Rana Productions’ banner. Dhilip Subbarayan is the other stunt master and the second half is expected to have around 45 minutes of action sequences that will thrill the audience. Sam CS is the music composer while Pn Parthiban is the writer. Balasubramanian is the director of photography for this project.

While Suriya and Karthi have a very good market here, Vishal’s market has gone down completely despite his non-stop efforts. Experts claim that talented hero Siva Karthikeyan is slowly creating a solid market for himself in the Telugu states with movies like ‘Remo’, ‘Seemaraja’, ‘Varun Doctor’ and recently released ‘Don’ which is getting a very good response. They claim that he may push Vishal down the list and stand next to the big stars of Kollywood who have a good market in Telugu.
