Prabhas and Rajamouli: Dominating Tollywood’s Top Grossers

Previous to “Baahubali”, only the best of the Tollywood heroes whose films were the highest grossers. However, Prabhas and SS Rajamouli became national level stars through the “Baahubali” series knocking the change. Currently, the successful current five Telugu films are bound with them.

Prabhas had no industry-strike as a solo hero before “Baahubali” While Rajamouli’s list comprised only “Magadheera”. However, they both came together for ‘Baahubali’ which was a turning point for Prabhas and their teamwork helped to make a substantial change to the film. They now occupy the positions of five of the highest grossing films.

The list begins with “RRR,” which has collected 365 crores globally. Secondly, “Baahubali 2” is next in the list that has earned around 310 crores. Following this it is “Salaar” with 213 crores and “Kalki 2898 AD” with 200 crores comes last while “Baahubali 1” stands at 184. 34 crores. Kalki 2898 AD may go up to 300 crores if it has a good response next weekend.

This success also proved that Prabhas is the only solo hero till date who has come up with two consecutive films with Gross in Telugu 200 crores. It must be agreed that the ‘Baahubali’ series has been a big boon for Prabhas and has taken him to the league of top stars in the Telugu film industry. They have set a new benchmark of work association with Rajamouli in the industry.
