The entire attention of the Telugu community now is on the theatrical debut of pan Indian biggie Pushpa 2 which is up for release on the 5th of December. Ahead of the priced release of the Allu Arjun starrer, there are a lot of debates on the forthcoming box office projections.
Particularly, there is a lot of talk about the Hindi language prospects of the Allu Arjun starrer. This got aggravated with the recent Bihar event which was a smashing success there.
Allu Arjun is now a big deal in Hindi and the chances are that Pushpa 2 might open on a blockbuster note at this market. This is the kind of stuff that everyone has been rooting for.
Coming to the actuals, SRK’s Jawan which made Rs 65 crores nett at the Hindi box office on the opening day was a mega blockbuster. Thus far, this is the highest collecting Indian film in the Hindi belt. So, this is now the benchmark for Pushpa 2 to hit.
In any case, Pushpa 2 is bound to collect Rs 55 crores nett at the box office. If the last minute zest is also on point with the aggressive promotional campaign that is in place for the film, it might well touch the Rs 70 crores nett mark as well in Hindi.
If Pushpa 2 really can touch the Rs 70 crore mark and wash away the tracks of SRK’s Jawan, then this would well and truly mean that Telugu cinema has taken over Indian cinema and not even Bollywood superstars can stop this phenomenon.
Often praised as one of Tamil cinema’s most talented performers, Vijay Sethupathi is at the center of a controversy that is reverberating across the business like a well-timed joke. His silence over the controversy surrounding Nayanthara’s Netflix movie “Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale” is the reason for the subsequent backlash against him. His decision to keep quiet has left both supporters and detractors perplexed, wondering if he is playing a calculated game or just not seeing the signal to speak up in a world where every word has the potential to start a fire.
The main point of contention is that Nayanthara used footage from their joint movie “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan,” which infuriated co-star Vijay Sethupathi. Sethupathi’s lack of participation in the discussion feels like a comic who takes the stage but forgets their set, even if Nayanthara has bravely addressed the issue. Fans wonder why “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan”‘s title character is not responding to what many see to be a disrespect to their common cinematic heritage. His quiet stands in stark contrast to the demands made on prominent individuals to participate in debates and make their positions clear.
Silence may be as loud as a clarion call in the entertainment industry, as this case demonstrates. Celebrities are frequently expected to take sides, and when they don’t, fans may get disappointed and speculate. Sethupathi’s decision to remain silent could be interpreted as a calculated move, similar to a stand-up comedian who chooses to pause unexpectedly to keep the audience guessing. This tactic could backfire, too, if supporters take it to mean that he does not care for or support his colleagues.
In conclusion, even though Vijay Sethupathi is being cautious when negotiating these rough seas, it is impossible to help but wonder whether he is holding out for the ideal opportunity to inject his own humorous spin on the events. After all, timing is crucial in both comedy and the film industry. Maybe he is simply waiting for the right moment to make this disagreement into a joke that makes everyone laugh—after all, if you are not careful in this business, you might end yourself in someone else’s joke!
